Don't Let VoIP Turn Into a Pandora's Box of ESI

Electronically stored information on a VoIP network can prove difficult to delete and cannot be searched easily by subject or text. Without proper planning, a client or company may be faced with thousands of hours of audio data that cannot be easily parsed if production is required. Michael Cukor, director in the Gibbons intellectual property department in New York, and Thomas R. DeSimone, an associate in the firm's intellectual property department in New York, discuss how the adoption of VoIP technology affects our e-discovery obligations.
